Get Your Business "On The Train" Or Get Left Behind

Blog - Social Media - Get Your Business "On The Train"You hear lots of stories about how social media is changing the landscape of marketing.  Most companies outside of the USA do not realize just how fast this is happening.

I thought I would give you a couple of statistics to make you sit up in your chair and say "Wow!  Maybe I need to be doing more in social media!"

  1. 89% of all US companies use LinkedIn as part of their marketing efforts.

  2. 71% of companies in the US use Facebook as part of their marketing mix.

  3. Of the top 100 business brands, 93% are on Facebook.

  4. 77% of companies already have a Google+ page.

Point #4 above is truly shocking because Google Plus only came out last June, whereas Facebook has been around since 2004.

How To Build a Killer Website

We all know that having a great website is critically important.

It is the first place a prospect will go to learn about your company.

Your website may determine if the prospect will, or will not, seek further information.

This is a good article from INC. Magazine about what makes a great website.

Enjoy.

To customers, prospects, employees, bankers, etc...

If you are like me, it's quite a few, and most of them are too long and too boring.

This is a great article in Forbes magazine about a new way to approach presentations.  Essentially, "Less is More".  The author proposes keeping your presentations
to 5 minutes.

Yes, 5 minutes.

The article is worth reading:

Increase Your Business in 30 Days: #2 Turn Your Website Into a Selling Machine

This is #2 in our series of "10 Ways to Increase Business in 30 Days."

Yesterday we talked about establishing an Inbound Marketing Program, and capturing the leads that come to your website. (We find it hard to believe how many companies do not even track this.  Incredible!)

Today we are going to talk about how to turn your website into a selling machine.

Just yesterday I had a conversation with a company in Brazil that was trying to increase their global business.  They said they were the fastest growing CRO in Brazil, and that their website must be working.  They were only partially right.

Increase Your Business in 30 Days: #1 Begin Generating More Quality Leads

How would you like to increase the number of unique visitors coming to your website by 1,500 per month?

That is exactly what we have done for a client who implemented our "Inbound Marketing Program".

You see, more companies are still selling and marketing the same way they did 2,3, or even 4 years ago.  Those times are dead, dead, dead.  And the companies that keep doing things the same old way will also die a slow death.

If business is down, I'm guessing that you are simply not staying in front of your targeted prospects on a WEEKLY basis.  They forget about you because so many of your competitors are contacting them.

You can turn your business around in a short period of time.  You just need to use the right tools and have the right attitude.

Ask yourself these important questions:

Differentiate or Die

Today's blog comes to us from the web site Early to Rise, and its editor Craig Ballantyne.

Differentiation is a theme that we talk about a lot at AmeriStart, and how we can help our clients win more business by differentiating themselves from the others in their industry.

This is an excellent article, I suggest you read it:

In today's retail world we are being treated to one of the greatest exhibits in market domination since Henry Ford conquered the automotive marketplace.  I'm talking about Apple's control of the tablet wars.

Every day it seems the news is reporting on another company dropping out of the market.  Recently, Dell and Hewlett Packard have killed off some of their tablets, folded their tents, and gotten out of Apple's way before they lost any more money or pride.

Who's Got Social Media?

AmeriStart - Who's Got Social Media?Have you ever heard of the campaign "Got Milk"?  It's a huge (and very successful) brand that began in 1993 as a marketing campaign for the California Milk Processor Board (CMPB) to inform people of the benefits of drinking milk.

18 years later they are still going strong.  The impact of the CMPB ads with the newest celebrity sporting the now famous milk mustache has had its desired effect.  It created a recognizable, catchy marketing brand that educated consumers about the essential nutrients of milk and why it is a necessary part of a healthy diet.
